2025 CLASSICS & CONCOURS
More than 60 car clubs showcased members’ cars for the public to admire at picturesque racecourse.
Summer fun and a summer holiday theme linked scores of car club displays surrounding the annual Concours competition at a sun-drenched Ellerslie. A total of 64 club displays were arranged by country of origin and several hundred cars were beautifully prepared for the big day. Last year’s host, the Auckland Mustang Owners Club, celebrates its 50th birthday this year and its members displayed a fantastic selection of cars in the Winners’ Circle. The very best Mustangs were entered into the Concours d’Elegance which this year boasted six categories including a Survivor Class for unrestored cars and a Modified Class. The introduction of a 30-40-50 class celebrated cars that were at least 30 years old, owners aged under 40, and required a total spend (including purchase price) of no more than $50,000. As always, the winning cars in all competition classes were simply world-class but our camera lens was equally drawn to a variety of club cars displayed purely for fun. They amply demonstrated the depth of Kiwi car culture and the pride of ownership shared by all of us at KiwiGARAGE.
