Its timeless retro design and elaborate, art deco cabin make the Nissan Figaro the most popular creation from Nissan’s ‘Pike Factory’ era. This exceptional example, a much-admired car with just 45,000km from new, would suit an enthusiast or collector, but could just as easily be used as a fun and reliable daily driver.

It was first registered in Japan in April 1991 and has only had the one owner since being shipped to New Zealand in 2015, arriving with 33,000km on the clock. The body colour is popular Lapis Grey with ivory roof and ivory interior.

After a long search for the right car, it was hand-picked based on condition, colour, features and its very low mileage. Thoughtful use and maintenance have since preserved its excellent original condition. It’s always been garaged, enjoyed in good weather, and considered part of the family.

Under the bonnet is a small but smooth four-cylinder engine that benefits from turbocharging and pairs conveniently with Nissan’s trusty three-speed automatic. She drives precisely as a good Figaro should and comes complete with both original keys, tool kit and an unused spare wheel.

The retractable roof functions perfectly and the armchair-like leather seats have retained both their shape and colour. Meanwhile the rear bench seat shows few signs of use over the decades. The carpets are all excellent and the original overmats remain in place.
